If your situation requires forced cooling, this MrCool DIY System can be set to its manual mode. Simply push the button located on the right side of the unit under the front panel. When in this emergency operation mode you can test how well the system cools your space and complete maintenance tasks.
In auto mode, set each unit to your desired temperature and let the system do the rest. The air handler will determine how much heat or air conditioning is needed based on the difference between the current air temperature and the temperature you set.
You can save money and sleep easily at the same time with this system’s sleep mode. Once turned on, the air handler will moderate your room’s temperature, limiting your energy usage in an eight hour window. In each of the first two hours in that window, the appliance will drop while heating or rise while cooling by 2°F. For the remaining six hours, this more moderate temperature will keep you comfortable enough to sleep the whole night through while using less energy.
Keep condensation out of your air handlers via the condensate drain and the anti-mildew function. Once you turn the function on, the air handler will continue with low air flow for approximately 10 minutes to eliminate any extra moisture lingering in the air handler. This is an excellent tool to prevent mold accumulation.
